You have to<strong> <\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/notionforms.io\/forms\/ggc-2023-exhibitor-sign-up\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/notionforms.io\/forms\/ggc-2023-exhibitor-sign-up\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>apply to exhibit<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;your work at Gotland Game Conference. Every person must also accept&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gotlandgameconference.com\/2023\/code-of-conduct\/\">our code of conduct and anti-harassment policy<\/a> and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ti.to\/campus-gotland-game\/ggc2023\">register online for a ticket<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After applying, you will have&nbsp;several deliveries to meet leading up to the conference. It is a substantial amount of work, but all of it will be spectacularly useful for your education, portfolio, and future career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-9e5de639\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-9e5de639\">Important Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-58a17922\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-58a17922\">Application Deadline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You must <a href=\"https:\/\/notionforms.io\/forms\/ggc-2023-exhibitor-sign-up\">apply to exhibit<\/a> by <strong>Friday<\/strong>,<strong> the 28th of April,<\/strong> <strong>2023<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-395dd52d\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-395dd52d\">Deliveries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where will these deliveries end up?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the assets you will need to create a portfolio piece out of your game and to put your game on itch.io or semble.gg. We also use the assets to update the <a href=\"https:\/\/game.speldesign.uu.se\/cat\/projects\/\">GAME blog<\/a>&#8216;s project listings or write about your games on the university&#8217;s social media accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do we deliver things?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever information isn&#8217;t submitted by you when applying will be uploaded to an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File_Transfer_Protocol#:~:text=The%20File%20Transfer%20Protocol%20(FTP,the%20client%20and%20the%20server.\">FTP<\/a> server. Once the submission deadline closes, we will send instructions to the team responsible for how to upload to the server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-e62bca34\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-e62bca34\">Graphics<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delivery window:<\/strong>&nbsp;2023-04-29 \u2013 2023-05-22<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In roughly the order you\u2019ll be able to produce them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Concept art<\/strong>, development&nbsp;<strong>photos<\/strong>&nbsp;of the team,&nbsp;<strong>in-progress work<\/strong>, construction photos, etc\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>~4 images each. (jpg, max 512kb per file)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep these web friendly, 1920px and &lt;=512kb is good.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-resolution&nbsp;<strong>logo for your game<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aspect 1\u00d71, dimensions &gt;=500px, PNG (transparent background)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rjZOy6L8sDE\">used in the showreel<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This might also be used in various print materials, so consider designing a logo that works well when small or big. Try to create a story with continuous momentum, structure, and a buildup to a resolution at the end. Do not try to&nbsp;<em>demonstrate<\/em>&nbsp;the game (that\u2019s what a play-through is for).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Render your trailer using&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/youtube\/answer\/1722171?hl=en\"><strong>Youtube\u2019s preferred settings<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>16:9 aspect ratio, 1080p, 1440p or 2160p<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capture and encode at&nbsp;<strong>60fps<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Container: MP4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>H.264 video encoder (two pass)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Progressive scan (no interlacing)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High Profile, 2 consecutive B frames<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Closed GOP, GOP of half the frame rate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CABAC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Variable bitrate. Food court and coffee will be available until ~19.00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20.00 &#8211; Doors to the show floor close<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the schedule on Saturday + Sunday, please reference <a href=\"https:\/\/gotlandgameconference.com\/2023\/program\/\">the program<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Booth Etiquette<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exhibiting your game at a conference while also trying to listen to talks, participate in meet-to-match, and play other games that are exhibited, is an extremely stressful endeavor. Therefore we have some rules to ensure you and conference visitors have a great time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a shift schedule for being at your booth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have two people at your booth, not more, not less (bathroom breaks are obviously ok!). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not schedule shifts for more than 2 hours. Trust me.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No personal items, backpacks, etc., should be visible at your booth!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice the art of taking feedback well. Even if the person (visitor, jury, fellow students, staff, etc.) gives objectively terrible feedback, do not start an argument.
