Application Deadline was April 19th 2024
If you found out about this after the application deadline but want to be part of the jury, email Elias Faltin.
The jury consists of a diverse set of individuals from around the world, who volunteer their time and experience to listen to our students’ presentations, play all of their games and deliver awards for outstanding achievements. Each member brings their distinct expertise and shares their insight and experience directly with the students at the Gotland Game Conference.
This is a great way for game companies to support higher education and scout talent before anyone else gets the chance. In 2023 we had 33 game industry organisations represented on the Jury, such as Paradox, EA, Might & Delight, Hazelight and many more.
Jury Duty – but fun!
The jury attends student presentations on Monday, 3rd of June, starting at 13.00 ( they will take 2-4 hours, with breaks), play their games on the show floor (both at an exclusive booth crawl Monday after the presentations and at the public conference on Tuesday and Wednesday), and provide thoughtful and constructive feedback throughout the conference. Jury duty requires no work before the event, but once here you have to prioritize and make time to play all games you are assigned to – enough to provide fair criticism and advice.
So, if you are interested in going to Visby to meet our students, provide them with thoughtful feedback, and participate in a uniquely wide-eyed games conference, simply fill in the application (<- closed)!
Thank you!
