Vasilis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Ionian University, Greece. His field is Mixed Reality Systems and their applications on cultural heritage game development. He teaches courses on virtual and augmented reality as well as video game design and programming. His research explores how extended reality (XR) and game technologies can be used to engage audiences with cultural heritage, blending immersive storytelling with playful interaction. Together with his colleagues, Vasilis co-founded the AVArts Game Hub initiative, which serves as a platform for students to develop their game design and development skills, collaborate creatively, and showcase their work.
