Lina Femling

Independent Game Developer / Freelance

Thanks to her nerdy dad, Lina Femling fell in love with games at a super young age. From playing modded Quake 3: Arena to spending way too many hours battling her sisters in Worms Armageddon, she just couldn’t get enough. She loved diving into magical worlds and eventually realized — hey, why not be part of creating that magic herself? She moved to Visby to study game design and project management, and in her second year, she discovered her love for level design while working on the game Argelite. After graduating, she headed to Stockholm to continue her game dev journey at Futuregames. Her first industry gig was at Embark Studios, where she worked on THE FINALS as a level design intern. After that, she joined 10 Chambers for three years where she worked on both GTFO and Den of Wolves. Now, she is trying indie and has traded making very intense shooters for creating a cozy and calm game together with some old Campus Gotland friends, while doing some freelance work as a level and game designer. When she’s really off the clock, she’s either deep into interior design inspo, writing on her novels, binge watching a show, or whipping up mouthwatering chocolate pralines.
