I moved to Gotland to study game design and programming 2012. I graduated from Uppsala University (Game Design and Programming) 2015. Since then, I have been working as a game programmer and a system developer in different companies in Visby. I currently work as a system developer at the Swedish National Heritage Board. Aside from the regular projects we do (preserving, digitalizing, enabling our cultural heritage), I have been involved with Photogrammetry, Immersive media and XR projects/workshops in the cultural heritage field. I find them fascinating since they are so deeply connected to game development field. I believe we can create extraordinary things by taking the knowledge/tech from the gaming industry to solve the problems other industries and government agencies have in their daily lives. When it comes to game programming, I have spent most of my time with Unity and since they now are pushing into other fields aside from game development, I think i’ll be stuck with it for several more years.
