Join the GGC Show Case on itch.io
We can’t host a show floor this year, but we can put all our games online, in a massive game jam for the public to play test and vote from home!
To participate in the game jam you need to:
- Submit your game to the itch.io Gotland Game Conference 2020 Showcase and…
- deliver assets and project information to the department.
Like the GGC, this is entirely optional and will require a huge amount of work. But that work will be spectacularly useful for your education, portfolio and future career!
Make sure to follow the delivery instructions and format specifications closely!
GGC 2020 is cancelled
We had to cancel the Gotland Game Conference and its showfloor, due to the global Coronavirus epidemic and its consequences.
All courses – including the production courses – have been moved online.
The course pages in Student Portal will be your most useful tool. The course pages will outline what communication tools are recommended, what milestones/checkpoints that you need to keep up with, how to have inclusive online meetings and other tips from IT-support.
Access to the buildings, Motion Capture Studio, extra equipment, etc must be limited for social distancing reasons.
Our staff is working remotely and will not be readily available on site. If you need access or help, you need to plan ahead, make an appointment and expect a waiting time for responses.
We realize that for most of you, you did not select this distance-mode of education and you might be feeling a little lost. Do not disconnect! Create new routines and healthy habits and be sure to cultivate what motivates you.
This is a new challenge for all of us, but we are all in this together. Our staff are working hard to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone. So remain SOCIAL and KEEP IN TOUCH! Be responsible for your own well-being by reaching out for help or advice. If you need to socialize with departmental staff and find classmate support, join us on slack and the 800 people strong GAME facebook group!
