Your university does not need to be a member of The Higher Education Video Game Alliance to participate. Join us on Gotland in June and help establish a European games community in higher education.

Event Outline

The two day symposium will take place on June 7 & 8. The first day will feature multiple rapid-fire presentations where we all share something about our work or educations. The second day will be a working meeting, focused on three primary points:

  • An agenda and action points for the European Council to represent us effectively in the global Alliance, maximize the opportunities of the EU, and to target our unique challenges.
  • A practical strengthening of the Alliance through Erasmus agreements.
  • The start of a Research School at postgraduate level. This is a little more ambitious. We intend to construct a framework for a European Research School such that the idea is “application ready” in the event of finance being available.
